Our chip resetter can reset and refill original cartridge chips and compatible chips. You'll use refill inks made by third parties, saving a lot on printing costs.
Automatically identify the ink cartridge model and detect whether the chip on the ink cartridge is good, and then reset the chip on the ink cartridge to full mode (old and new models).
We recommend that o ne printer use o ne resetter, if o ne resetter is used on different models of printers, it may cause the resetter system to fail, and the chip cannot be reset anymore.
1. Reset the chip before the ink level drops to 15%.
2. Install the chip into the groove of the chip resetter, so that the probe of the chip resetter touches the contactor of the chip.
3. Press the 2 components together. If the red light is flashing, it means the connection is normal.
4. After five seconds, the red light turns green, indicating that the chip data has been refreshed.
Epson 4000 Chip Resetter
troubleshooting:
a) After the red LED blinks, it stays on and does not turn green.
1. The pin on the Resetter is not in good contact with the chip on the ink cartridge. The contacts may be dirty or greasy.
2. If the ink cartridge is not a genu ine Epson brand ink cartridge, the chip may not be compatible with the Resetter.
3. If the ink cartridge is an original Epson brand ink cartridge, it may be that the chip is burned out or Epson has changed the chip design. But our Resetter can still reset and level with this cartridge, but the green light is not on.
4. If it still doesn't work, it may be out of power, it is better to change a battery.
b) The printing effect is not good.
1. You may be using poor quality ink. We recommend using inks specifically matched to Epson original colors and other characteristics. (Especially when printing digital photos.)
2. Air bubbles in the ink. To avoid this, fill the ink very slowly. Also, allow the ink cartridges to reset for 24 hours before use, with the ink outlet nozzles pointing down.
