Decibel Magazine offered their take on the album stating, Cross-continental duo of death Gravefields emerge from relative obscurity with Embrace the Void, their first full-length under their new name, following 2017’s Hellstorm (under the name Dirtyprotest). Embrace the Void is an elegant death metal album, driven by chunky riffs, splashes of melody, flurries of tremolo picking and diverse vocal patterns. Popular review site, Angry Metal Guy, called it, a tried and true combination of blackened rasps and burly roars make up the bulk of the vocals, but like many modern death metal albums released these days, harsh cleans make regular appearances as well. No Clean Singing also praised the album, writing, the music continues to morph, combining brute-force heaviness and penetrating despair. Like a whirlwind, the band spin out expulsions of rampant violence and heart-aching grief, flying through rapidly scissoring fretwork and eye-popping drum flurries, skin-splitting shrieks and monstrous growls, neck-wrecking grooves and swirling melodies that ultimately channel an atmosphere of bleak grandeur.
