■ Vacuum tube oscillator circuit that allows you to fully enjoy the charm of Nutube.
One of the two vacuum tube circuits mounted on Nutube is used as an oscillator to generate a sawtooth wave or a square wave. The other is used for the drive circuit of the sub-oscillator, adding the thickness and warmth of the sound with one octave bass of the oscillator. With this oscillator and sub-oscillator, the circuit configuration allows you to fully enjoy the real thrill of synth sounds created by vacuum tubes.
■ Transistor ladder type low-pass filter that produces a unique sound.
The low-pass filter that determines the sound of this bass machine uses a transistor ladder filter that was once known to have been installed in famous bass machines. This filter is characterized by a large change in the character of the sound that cannot be expressed only by bright / dark, and it creates a unique swell that can be heard in acid house, and when it is used for resonance, it is suitable for acid techno. The volca nubass is equipped with a full-fledged 16-step sequencer with various functions, and can be used with a rhythm machine to assemble rhythm tracks and loop music. Supports step input using the 16 buttons familiar to the volca series, and real-time recording by playing that button as a keyboard. The chain function, which plays multiple sequence patterns in succession, allows you to loop up to 16 sequences.
The motion sequence function that can memorize the movement of the knob can change the sound over time. In addition to creating loops, you can demonstrate originality in live performances. The sequence pattern includes motion sequence, and up to 16 patterns can be saved in the main unit.
It also has an active step function that allows you to skip any step and play it back, and edit sequence patterns that tend to be monotonous in real time to achieve dynamic performance.
■ Three functions that bring a groove to the machine base.
The volca nubass sequencer has three functions, transpose, accent, and slide, which add elements of slap and slide, which are peculiar to bass, and work together with the step sequencer.
Transpose is a function that plays one octave or two octaves above the note, adding movement to the bass line without breaking the original scale. Accents emphasize the notes and create a core rhythm depending on the strength of the pronunciation. And the slide that is indispensable for acid sound is a function that smoothly transitions to the next note, and by adding a feeling of groove, the machine bass will be transformed into an exciting bass line.
Randomize settings are possible for each of these three functions. Not only will unpredictable patterns be created, but by updating the randomization settings, the patterns will change and you will be able to draw unknown ideas from volca.
