Of late Edwardian / post WW1 period, this fine silver frame is made of sheet silver, with plain border and with honey oak back and replacement dark oak strut. A high quality piece where the frame rests on the silver at the front.

Markings: Fully hallmarked for .925 sterling silver, Birmingham hallmark, 1918. Please see images above. The makers mark is obscured.

Size: Aperture is 5 1/4" (13.5cm) by 3 1/2" (9cm), external dimensions 6” (15cm) by 4 1/4" (11cm).

Condition: Frame is in excellent condition, freshly polished and ready for use. Please note that the silver is over 100 years old so will show some signs of life - e.g. polishing marks. No heavy scratches or dents. Please see images above. The oak strut looks to be a replacement. New fabric backing. Please see images above.
