Receptacle GFCI Test (for EM9807 only)
1. Consult the GFCI device manufacturer's instructions to determine that the GFCI is installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
2. Check for correct wiring of the receptacle and all remotely connected 「eceptacles on the branch circuit.
3. Press the TEST button on the GFCI receptacle, the GFCI should trip. If it dose not trip, do not use the circuit and consult a qualified electrician. If it does trip, press the RESET button on the receptacle.
4. Plug the tester into the 「eceptacle under test. Verify that the wiring is correct as described in the Receptacle Wiring Test section.
5 Press the button on the tester, all the three lamps of the tester will turn off when the GFCI trips.
6 If the GFCI dose not t「ip, it suggests:
(a) a wiring problem with a totally operable GFCI, or 
(b) proper wiring with a faulty GFCI.Consult with an qualified electrician to check the condition of the wiring and GFCI.

Note:
Before test, make sure that the GFCI is installed in a 3-wire system.

OPERATION INSTRUCTION

Receptacle Wiring Test

1.  Plug the tester into the receptacle under test.
2. The state of the receptacle wiring is indicated by the three combined lamps. 
Explanations regarding the test result are described in the above table, which is the same as (but more detailed than) the diagram on the tester.

Note: 
The tester will not indicate the quality of the ground connection, 2 hot wires in a ci「cuit, a combination of defects, or reversal of g「ound and neutral conductors.
