Make rescues on iced-over lakes
It is designed with an open bow and stern. Officers walking out on the ice will have the raft all around them. If they break through the ice while walking, the raft will catch and assist them in getting out of the water. When the save officers reach the victim, they will be able to loop the open part of the raft around the person and pull him or her to safety inside the raft.
