1951-56 Olds/Caddy Style Air Cleaner
Based on the style and dimensions of the 1951-56 Oldsmobile and Cadillac air cleaners. Looks right at home in any street rod, hot rod, traditional or period built car.
Measuring a whopping 18-1/4" wide, our air cleaner is no wimpy, scaled-down version of this classic design. This air cleaner has the same external dimensions as the original Oldsmobile oil-bath part. However, our version uses an off-the-shelf 14" diameter x 3" tall hi flow paper element.
Base is set up for 5-1/8" standard carburetor / EFI Openings
No fiberglass construction here as the steel is real! Stamped from heavy gauge steel, fully spot welded together and then powder coated in a tough semi-gloss finish.The electroplated air cleaner base is also stamped steel and is designed to fit most carburetors and throttle bodies. The air cleaner is notched at the rear to provide clearance for the large diameter, GM, HEI distributors.Not content with anything normal, we designed and produced a unique wing nut to complement the air cleaner. This chrome plated, rocket shaped nut was modeled after 50s era space vehicles and measures nearly 1-1/8" tall.
