Famed Inuit Artist SILASSIE TUKAI (alternate spellings TUKI; TUKSI; SILASIE) from Inukjuak, Canada carved this seal from stone. The sculpture is marked on the underside and the artist's name and sculpture identification are included on the original tag. The seal is carved from deep green stone.Mr. Tukai was bon in 1919 and died Jan 14, 1994. He lived in Inukjuak on the West coast of Canada and began carving at the age of 30.
