American Veterans Day is held annually on November 11th to honor those military veterans that have served and no longer serve in the Armed Forces. It coincides with other countries holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day which marks the anniversary of the end of World War I. Armed Forces Day in May recognizes those that still serve actively in the military. Memorial Day, also in May, memorializes those that have died during military service.
