Kiizo felt slippers are handmade in Kazakhstan by artisans using traditional felting techniques. They are made using wool from the Kazakh "semi-coarse" sheep breed, which provides some of the softest wool in the world. They make exceptionally cozy, warm slippers.

ABOUT US 

Kiizo Studio of Felt and Textile Art was founded in 2019 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. We create clothes, shoes, slippers, accessories, souvenirs and items for interior and home decor, including carpets, wall art and chandeliers. The main material we use is natural felt, which our master artisans create exclusively by hand.

Kiizo’s founder and head designer is Togzhan Kuttugaeva, a designer maker with 15 years of experience in arts and crafts. She has made it Kiizo’s mission to breathe new life into the traditional craft of felting. Kiizo’s designs aim to preserve the skills and traditions of Kazakh felt making, while creating modern, high quality products for a global audience, all without losing their unique Kazakh identity.

Our goal is to create collections of clothes, footwear, gloves and other felt products suitable for modern life, both in Kazakhstan and the wider world.
