Statuette en bois d'une sainte femme, XVIIe siècle ♦ Holy woman wood statuette, 17th century

Cette statuette représente une sainte femme vêtue d'une longue tunique et d'un manteau enroulé autour de la taille, avec la tête couverte d'un voile. Le bras gauche est manquant et la manière dont le bois est découpé laisse penser qu'il y avait un autre élément. Il s'agit peut-être d'une statuette de Sainte Barbe, qui est souvent représentée avec une tour à côté d'elle.

Bon état général, bois sain, quelques petits manques en plus du bras gauche (voir photos).

This statuette represents a holy woman wearing a long tunic and a coat rolled around the waist, with head covered by a veil. Left arm is missing and the way the wood is cut suggests there was another element. It's maybe Saint Barbara, who is often depicted with a tower by her side.

Good condition, sound wood, some little lacks of wood in addition to the missing left arm (see pictures)
