Christ en argent massif, Italie, XVIIe siècle ♦ Solid silver Christ, Italy, 17th century

Ce Christ reprend le style du Cristo morto qui a prospéré au XVIIe siècle d'après les modèles de Jean de Bologne. Représenté mort, la tête penchée sur l'épaule droite, le Christ porte un perizonium court noué sur la hanche droite avac un rabat. Les jambes sont peu fléchies, les pieds sont superposés, et les bras légèrement relevés en arc de cercle.

Très bon état, patine partiellement noire. Pas de poinçons.

This Christ reflects the style of Cristo morto that has thrived through the 17th century after models of Giambologna. Depicted dead, the head leaning on right shoulder, the Christ wears a short perizonium knotted on right hip with a flap. Les are hardly bent, feet are superimposed, and the arms are slightly raised in a semi-circle.

Very good condition, partially black patina. No hallmarks.
