I just finished putting this puzzle together. The size is about 27 1/2" x 19 1/2" The colors seem true. The pieces were all clean and lay flat, and connected well when set in the proper locations. Parts of the puzzle were very challenging. The box is fully intact without any tape or marking. The box corners show a small amount of scuffing. 

Carl Larsson (1853-1919) may be the best loved and most famous Swedish artist of all time. He is at least the best known artist for the nostalgia of traditional 19th century Swedish life, using his family members and family traditions as his models and inspiration. He paints with watercolors. This painting, now also a puzzle, is part of the National Museum collection in Stockholm.

There are newer replicas of this puzzle by other puzzle manufacturers. This vintage1986 edition, the original one, is presumably more collectible and much rarer, and might not have even been available in the US market.

I bought this puzzle during one of my residencies in Sweden. I did so in appreciation for the Swedish heritage I encountered. Crayfishing used to be the central part of a major summer party event all across Sweden. I was invited to one such party myself.  Skål!
