Offered is this exceptional antique pair of porcelain compotes in the Capodimonte style. Each bowl is decorated with floral sprays of various colors on the interior with attached porcelain flowers decorating the exteriors (see images). The center pedestal has a pair of draped cherubs encircling it with accent flowers and leaves in various colors with gold trim. These are in wonderful condition although not perfect. One of the pedestals has an old repair where the bowl was reglued to the column (see images) and this is strong and stable! There are no cracks or chips to mention excluding some tiny edge flakes or tip chips of the porcelain flowers. The compotes each measure just under 11" tall with 7" in diameter bowls. These are unmarked other than a number 23/135 on their bases and are probably of German origin from the 1920's era. A lovely pair sure to add value to your collection and beauty to your space!
