DESCRIPTION

This is vintage Soviet watch Volna (means Wave) with a high precision movement.

It was produced in USSR in 1950s at the Chistopol Watch Factory.

The movement is gold-plated (caliber is Vostok 2809), it contains 22 ruby jewels.

This model was grabbed by Soviet engineers from Swiss Zenith 135 (please see last image to compare them).

The movement is mechanical and needs to be wound once a day.

The watch is in used condition and has got some signs of use.

It runs well and keeps time accurately as it has been serviced  (cleaned, lubricated and calibrated) by a professional watchmaker. 

The watch has been serviced by a professional watchmaker: 

1. All parts tested for wear

2. Broken ones have been replaced with good parts

3. All parts washed up in gasoline

4. The movement was put whole, then lubricated and calibrated

5. The case was polished up

6. A new crystal was set up.

Comes with a new leather strap.

The watch dimensions are:

Case size (lug to lug) - 42 mm

Case width (incl. the crown) - 37 mm

Watch thickness - 10 mm

Lug width - 17 mm
