Title: Mission des Moxes etablie par les PP. de la Compe. de Jesus dans le Perou

Description:  It is an original antique copper engraved map on cotton paper with embossed plate marks in the margins and multiple folds as issued. It is approximately 260 years old by N. Ransonnette from a publication on the Travels of the Jesuits in various parts of the World. It basically shows the French Jesuit Missions to the Moxes (Mojo Indian Tribes) in the region of the Marmore and Beni Rivers in Bolivia, which at the time was part of the much larger Viceroyalty of Peru. The map is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. A very nice, well preserved original antique map!

Size: The map image area measures approximately 5 by 7 inches (13x18cm) on a 6 1/2 by 8 1/2" page (17x22cm) as seen in the pic.

Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age, strong impression, blank on the reverse with multiple folds as issued. Upper right corner was original clipped to fit into the publication. There is some bending on the upper right corner and a couple of minor specks, otherwise it is very clean with a desireable antique quality on striated paper of the period,  see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
