Feature:

*The DRV8871 device is a brushed DC motor driver suitable for use in printers, appliances, industrial equipment and other small machines. Two logic inputs control the Hbridge driver, which consists of four N-channels

*MOSFET can control motors in both directions with peak currents up to 3.6A. The input can be pulse-width modulated (PWM) by selecting current decay mode to control motor speed. Low-power sleep mode is entered by setting both inputs low. DRV8871 device features advanced current regulation

*Circuits that do not use an analog voltage reference or external sense resistor. This novel solution uses standard low-cost, low-power resistors to set the current threshold. The ability to limit current to a known level can significantly reduce system power requirements and the large capacity required to maintain stable voltage, especially during motor starting and stall conditions. The device features comprehensive fault and short-circuit protection, including undervoltage (UVLO), overcurrent (OCP), and overtemperature (TSD). When the fault condition is eliminated, the equipment automatically resumes normal operation.
