REPUBLIC OF CHINA

The National Revolutionary Army was created by the Kuomintang, the nationalist political party of the Republic of China founded after the revolution of 1911. Its soldiers participated in the Northern Campaign (1927-28) which aimed to unify much of mainland China, putting an end to the chaos of the age of warlike patricians. They also distinguished themselves in the Second Sino-Japanese War, between 1937 and 1945. Although there was never a standard uniform due to the stylistic influences of each region, usually the hoplites of this army wore a khaki tunic, the German M35 helmet, the Kungshien Model 24 rifle, a belt with strap and leather buckles.
