Large Celtic Ringed Cross 3 inches tall by 2.25 inches wide. Has the detailing on front and back. The black cord (resembles a shoelace) has a pewter slide; it hangs down 17 inches. This necklace weighs 28 grams. It is non magnetic. The cross has the ring around the center that is openwork. 
According to legends, St. Patric drew a cross on top of a circular stone to bless it. Thus originated the Celtic Cross, a symbol of combining two faiths: the cross represents Christianity, and the circle represents eternity, having no beginning and no end. First appeared in the 8th century Britain.
