Fender Hamaokamoto's PB has been renewed!
One of the most influential bassists active in the modern Japanese music scene. Born in 1991, Hama Okamoto formed Zutto's Letters in 2008. Since 2009, as a member of OKAMOTO'S, he has been energetically producing albums and participating in overseas tours. He has had great success at numerous festivals and live events.

His playing style is said to have been self-taught, but his exquisite sense of time and his expressive phrasing, which he sings talkatively, is a skill that sets him apart from the Japanese. His ability soon became widely recognized, and in 2013 he signed an endorsement contract with Fender. After that, the long-awaited signature model released at the end of 2015 has reappeared with new specifications made in Japan.

Recent Japanese-made fenders represented by the MIJ Traditional Series and MIJ Hybrid Series have undergone significant manufacturing processes under the technical guidance and supervision of master Chris Fleming, who was a senior master builder at a custom shop. An update is in progress.

The motif of this instrument is the 1968 Fender Precision Bass that Mr. HAMA OKAMOTO uses as his main favorite. Based on the theme of "precision bass that is easy to play," we have adopted a jazz bass style slim neck. In addition to the vintage-style round paddle pegs and bridge cover, the basswood body with good coloring and the pickguard with the so-called "red tortoiseshell" pattern stand out for their originality.
