Description:  It is an authentic antique copper plate engraved map on strong cotton paper with plate marks in the margin with three vertical folds, uncolored as issued. It is approximately 218 years old from Edward Wells, A Historical Geography of the Old Testament, published in Oxford, Clarendon Press, 1801, a copy of the title page is included for authenticity. It is by Thomas Condor, an English Cartographer and Engraver (1750-1805), as stated in the bottom right margin of the map. Overall, a very well preserved map that would frame up well or could be used for research publication since the copyright has long expired.

Size: The map image measures approximately 6 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches (17x22cm) on a 8 1/4 by 9 1/2" (20x24cm) page with a margin all around for framing.

Condition: The map is in Very Good condition for its age, printed on strong cotton paper, deckle edge on top, blank on the reverse with three vertical folds as issued. It has light tonal ageing and a hint of backprinting, otherwise very clean with a nice antique appearance as desired, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map.
