Product Introduction

The Avante was introduced in 1988 with the goal of becoming the pinnacle of 4WD buggy racing. The following year, the TRF Tamiya Racing Factory was formed, and Tamiya took its first step into the world of racing.

Taking the know-how gained from racing into consideration, the Avante was newly designed as a dedicated race car based on the Avante. The IGRES was developed with the aim of winning races by adopting carbon plates, ball differentials, and large-capacity oil dampers.

At the time, belt-driven cars were at the height of their popularity, but the IGRES, the only shaft-driven car to compete in races, has been revived with every part brushed up to match the current R/C scene.
