A tribute to the F1.2 class lenses that appeared in the 1960s.

Newly designed large-aperture standard lens as SLIIs series lens The NOKTON 55mm F1.2 SLIIs is a large-aperture standard lens newly designed as a SLIIs series lens with an exterior design that recalls the era when owning a camera was a matter of aspiration.

The 55mm F1.2 specification pays homage to the F1.2 class large-aperture standard lenses that appeared in the 1960s as lenses for SLR cameras, which required a long back focus unlike those for rangefinders.

The optical system is traditionally composed of 7 spherical elements in 6 groups. When the aperture is wide open, the large bokeh effect emphasizes the motif, and when the aperture is stopped down, the entire image is extremely sharp, allowing photographers to choose the aperture that best suits their photographic expression.

The focus ring and aperture ring are made of all-metal, and the depth-of-focus indicator ring is also finished in black to emphasize the fact that this is the brightest F1.2 lens in the SL IIs series.

The mount is Nikon Ai-S compatible with a built-in CPU. The lens is so close to the inner dimensions of the mount that a low-profile contact component was newly designed.

In addition to this, the side of the metal mount is machined to prevent interference between the aperture linkage pin and the lens, and this is just one example of our commitment to craftsmanship.

This lens is also equipped with an Ai coupler and can be used with a variety of bodies, from film SLR cameras of yesteryear to the latest digital SLR cameras.

Beyond the era and format in which the lens was manufactured, it can be used with a wide variety of camera bodies, allowing you to shoot with excellent image quality while having fun.
