This is a rare book printed in the Moon System of embossed reading for the blind developed by William Moon in the 1800s. I believe this approximately 7" x 10.75" book is printed in the mid 1900s. The book is titled "Big Man " by English (British) author Leonard Alfred George Strong, has 74 embossed pages in a secure sewn binding that makes the book 1.75 inches thick. The cover is very worn, stained, and torn. The pages have corner wear and discolouration. Unfortunately this book was found in less than ideal book storing conditions - a dirt floor garage in the middle of the Canadian Prairies - where it has obviously been exposed to moisture, dirt, and extremes of temperature. The book has been stored inside for a number of years now and is not musty. Selling as is with the hope that it can be properly preserved by a future owner.
