When Canada Post issued a set of two dual-image lenticular $5 postage stamps featuring Star Trek on May 5, 2016, it also issued a small number of official-issue poster-size stamp enlargement sheets for collectors. These 22" x 14" collector sheets were extremely popular and are no longer available from Canada Post. The posters are entirely lenticular, featuring moving and transforming elements as the poster is tilted. This two-part collection also includes the official Royal Canadian Mint large-format Star Trek 25-cent coin and stamp set.

The designs pay homage to the transporter used in the show to instantly beam people from one place to another (often just in the nick of time) and the classic episode "The City on the Edge of Forever." They show crew members magically appearing and disappearing on the transporter platform of the USS Enterprise and through a time portal known as the Guardian of Forever.

About Star Trek
Star Trek was a science-fiction television series that followed the starship Enterprise and its crew. The show is set in the Milky Way galaxy during the 2260s. The ship's purpose was stated in the opening credits: "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." From warp drives, translators, tablet computers, phasers to teleporters, Star Trek has been a vision of the future and given us a look into what space travel could entail in the 23rd century
