Copper Coin 2 PAIR 3 Kopecks 1772 Russian Empire For Wallachia and Moldavia, reign of Catherine 2, nominal weight 18.4 g. Moldavian-Wallachian coin, Moldavian-Russian coins, Sadogur coin - the first common money for Moldova and Wallachia, introduced into circulation during the Russo-Turkish War of 1768-1774 by the Russian army led by P. A. Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky with the support of the Wallachian authorities . Coins of two denominations were minted - one pair - 3 money and 2 pairs - 3 kopecks. Sadogur coins circulated both in Moldavia and Wallachia in 1772-1774, and after the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Romanian principalities in 1774, they gradually went out of circulation. During the Russian-Turkish War (1768-1774), which ended with the Kuchuk-Kainardzhi Peace, Marshal Pyotr Rumyantsev-Zadunaysky, the commander of the Russian occupation forces in Moldova and Wallachia, took measures to organize the economy and taxes in these principalities. He initiated the minting of coins for circulation in these provinces, which were called Sadogur.

In 1770, on the estate of Baron Nikolai Gartenberg (Sadogursky) in the city of Sadagura, located near the city of Chernivtsi, a mint was founded, where coins with denominations expressed in Turkish (pairs) and Russian monetary units (money and kopecks) were minted.
