Ptah is the god of the city of Memphis, lord of truth, creator of the god, and one of the oldest ancient Egyptians. known also as Ptah-Nun or Ptah-Naunet. He is one of the oldest gods in Egyptian mythology; he is even confused with the sun god Ra.

He is depicted as a mummified man wearing a skull cap and holding the Was scepter combined with the ankh and the Djed forming the scepter of authority. He is the patron god of sculptors, craftsmen, builders, or any artists of any kind. One of the most remarkable facts about Ptah is that the name Egypt was derived from the Greek word Aigyptos which corresponds to the word Hat-Ka-Ptah which means “Temple of the Soul of Ptah” located in Memphis.
