These two wooden dolls, only 4 1/2" tall in German or Bavarian dress,  Their wooden arms have an elbow joint. Limbs and heads are attached to cloth bodies. They have carved and squared-off feet.  The heads are shaped like nuts.  Blue eyes on white (decals or painted) are situated halfway down the face. They resemble the dolls of Lotte Sievers-Hahn. 

The hair is floss on the blonde girl, under a kerchief. She wears a red polka dot skirt and cream blouse. The boy has a Tyrolean look, with felt lederhosen, leather straps and a faded red tie. His hat matches.
