Vintage Silver Plated Bronze Chenrezig Bodhisattva Buddha with 4 Arms

Region: Tibet

Height:  4.5 inches / 11cm

Width: 2.75 inches / 7cm

Having resided in South East Asia and the Pacific region for several decades I've a developed passion for and a trading interest in artefacts of the region. This artefact is part of a large collection that I’m selling to downsize.

Chenrezig the bodhisattva has four arms representing the Four Immeasurables of loving kindness, joy, equanimity and compassion .

His two front hands are in a devotional gesture clasped in front of his jewel-draped heart. His upper right hand holds his special symbol, a crystal Akshamala, or rosary, symbol of the never-ending cycle.
