Antique Edwardian c1900’s Ave Maria & Westminster Chiming Mantel Clock (Battery).
This is an antique Edwardian c1900’s Ave Maria & Westminster chiming mantel clock (Battery). This has been converted from a mechanical mechanism to a battery operated mechanism. It is in excellent condition and is in full working order. It has a beautiful original Edwardian oak body of "Napoleon Hat" form with decorative carvings to each side of the face and beadwork to the top. The oak has a medium brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain and a soft subtle shine. The face is circular in shape with a sliver coloured metal chapter ring, black coloured numerals and black coloured hands. The face is protected by a flat arched glass door with a brass bezel (door knob id missing). The glass is in excellent condition with no scratches, chips or cracks. To the rear is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and also in excellent condition. This chimes on the hour (chiming the numbers of
hours).
