This is a rare March 25th, 1912 program (playbill) from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the GUSTAVE KERKER, ARTHUR ANDERSON and JAMES T. POWERS operetta "TWO LITTLE BRIDES" at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The Original Broadway production would open April 23rd, 1912 at the Casino Theatre in New York City, transfer on June 3rd, 1912 to New York's Lyric Theatre and run for a combined 63 performances.) ..... The musical starred JAMES T. DETAILS: The forty page program measures 5 1/4" X 7 3/4" inches and includes production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, list of musical numbers and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is a surface abrasion to an inside page that resulted in a small amount of paper loss (sixth and seventh scanned images), a small tear in the outside edge of both the front and back covers, minor rust marks at the staples, light soiling to the back cover and moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
