Pair of Restored Chromed Art Deco Lumiline Sconces w/Slide Switches, Bulbs Included

These Lumiline sconces date from the 1930s.  They were highly popular then and through at least the 1950's.  While they resemble a fluorescent bulb, the original bulbs (including the bulbs with these sconces) were incandescent bulbs with a filament that ran from one end of the bulb to the other.  They were introduced by GE in 1934, but GE no longer makes them.  However, the LED manufacturers have picked up the slack and you can purchase these as LED bulbs nowadays.  The original GE bulbs are still available from resellers online, but eventually they will disappear and LED's will be the only ones available.

We have restored these fixtures to near original condition.  We removed the old wall paint from the sides and cleaned and polished the chromed steel.  We rewired  the bulb sockets and slide switches.  We did not rewire the unpolarized, ungrounded outlets, but the wire to them looks to be good and your electrician can hook them up if you need them.  Please note that there is a small hole in the side of one fixture that resulted from an electrical short prior to the time we got them.  They had the old cloth covered wire which had to be replaced, and we have done so.  We also added a ground wire to the fixtures to bring them up to modern safety codes.

Dimensions:  13" long x 2-1/2" wide.  Please note that the fixtures are too  narrow to fully cover a standard electrical box.  The sale includes the original mounting hardware and the bulbs shown in the photos.

The slide switches work smoothly.  If you have a wall switch, you can just put the sconce switches to ON and use your wall switch. Everything has been tested and is guaranteed to work correctly.

Shipping is buyer's choice of USPS Ground Advantage, UPS or FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority Mail.

The sconces are guaranteed to be as described and we will accept their return if buyer is dissatisfied.  Just notify us within 30 days of receiving them.

We have other sconces and lots of other porcelain fixtures for sale, so please check out our lighting store!
