Up for Consideration is a Rare Dated & Signed "EB" 1842 Sailor Made Maritime Scrimshaw Powder Horn depicting an American Eagle with a Banner that reads "In God We Hope", Island Scenes, a Tall Whaling Ship Harpooning Whales, Smaller Fishing Ship. Capsized Boats with Orr's and Flags floating in the water and allot more on this Primitive Folk Art Nautical Horn Originally out of a Gloucester Massachusetts Home!

This Amazing Powder Horn measures approximately 11.2 inches long with a 3.1 inches Plug. Completely Untouched with Amazing Primitive Scrimshaw Folk-Art mentioned above and shown in the many high resolution photographs we have included in this listing .
Condition is Good, a Solid Powder Horn with No Major Cracks or Chips, only usual light scratches, a couple worm holes and a Nice deep Straw yellow Patina.
This definitely came off a Whaling Vessel off the Gloucester Massachusetts Port back in the 1840's.
This is an Ex-Museum Piece which had previously been on display in a Private Collection in Worcester, Massachusetts for many years!
