DSRLL (Digital Servo Ratio Locked Loop) circuit is installed to reduce jitter. In the DSRLL circuit, input signals are once pooled in RAM and processed in a low-speed closed loop that is perfectly synchronized with the ratio of the quartz-accurate generated clock. The mechanism is equipped with TEAC's unique VRDS (Vibration-Free RigidDisc-Clamping System). VRDS clamps the disc to a high-mass turntable of exactly the same diameter as the disc, thereby reducing the disc's own inherent vibrations and mechanism. The disc is clamped to a high-mass turntable of exactly the same diameter as the disc to thoroughly eliminate the inherent vibrations of the disc itself and unwanted vibrations in the mechanism. This VRDS mechanism also greatly improves the relative optical axis accuracy of the disc pit surface, thereby minimizing unnecessary servo current. It also prevents timing errors (jitter) in the clock circuit.
