This textile is a remarkable , 18th century fabric constructed later. The amazing fabric is a printed toile dating from the late 1700's. This toile is either French or English. I'm not able to find the document, even though I KNOW I've seen it. My instinct is telling me it's English, however it also could be French. I found this textile in France.
The toile fabric is a beautifully spun cotton. Certainly it's cotton from India as it's a very high quality. The blue is as stunning as blue gets, faded soft China blue. The ground tone is a warm pale off-white. This textile is a later construction. I put the construction in the early 1900's. It can be deconstructed or used exactly as it is. I do have a matching one, please message if you are interested in both!~ It's a wonderful opportunity to deconstruct and use the fabric for study, collecting or various projects ~

Measurements : this textile measures 95 inches by 67 inches

Condition : this textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. The condition of this textile for its age is amazing. There are a couple of seams that came unstitched. There are some pale marks. Some very small holes ~ Really quite unreal for it's age and use!~
