Description

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is one of Japan's most famous mountain sightseeing routes that run through the Northern Alps, which is at an altitude of 3000m. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the full line's opening in 1971.
Nagano Prefecture's starting point: At the Kanden Tunnel connecting Ogisawa Station and Kurobe Dam Station across the prefectural border with Toyama Prefecture, the trolleybus was operated as a railway business by the trolleybus Gagyo Densha since its opening in 1964, but the trolleybus operation and railway business were discontinued in 2018, and the route bus operation by electric bus was shifted from 2019.
The last trolleybus, the 3rd generation model 300, has all retired, but since November 2020, the model 301, which is stored in Omachi Trobus Memorial Hall in front of Ogisawa Station, has been commercialized in an original color with the crest of Kansai Electric Power shining on the front.
The difference in the number of side rear steps peculiar to the early stage type is reproduced.
