This is a rare November 6th, 1906 program (playbill) from the two-night, BIRD CENTER BENEFIT VAUDEVILLE SHOW at Orchestra Hall in Chicago, Illinois. Given for the benefit of Chicago's Home for Destitute Crippled Children, the show's highlight was a performance by GEORGE M. COHAN and the Broadway Cast of his musical "GEORGE WASHINGTON, JR.". (The Original Broadway production opened February 12th, 1906 at New York's Herald Square Theatre and ran for 81 performances before going on the road. Following this tour, the production returned to the New York Theatre on February 11th, 1907 for an additional 40 performances before returning to the road.) ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is soiling to the cover and first inside page, three horizontal folds, creasing at the corners and moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare program will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
