Part of Larrivee's 40 Mahogany Legacy Series, the 000-40 boasts the company's Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid bracing system for maximum soundboard vibration, but with controlled low-end response. This all-solid-wood acoustic guitar was built from mahogany, with a hand-fit dovetail joint for a lock-tight fit and optimal sustain. The 000-40 is eminently playable, courtesy of its comfortable mahogany neck and smooth ebony fingerboard. The 000-40 Mahogany Legacy Series features Larrivee's Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid bracing system. Based on the company's tried-and-true X-brace design, Scalloped Parabolic Hybrid bracing blends a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern with a standard X-brace. This not only facilitates maximum strength using the least amount of material, but it also encourages free vibration of the guitar's soundboard, all while offering a controlled dynamic bass response.
