*Note: These UltraEdge BG Blades are packaged for and sold to Hair Stylists & Barbers. They are the same blade design as UltraEdge AG Blades packaged for and sold to Animal Groomers, etc. just named differently, have different uses. This means that these blades WILL fit any clipper that accepts A5 style blades and vice-versa (for list of clippers these will fit see below).
Andis® UltraEdge™ Clipper Blades are made from carbon-infused steel for a harder cutting surface that lasts longer.
Andis® UltraEdge™ clipper blades are made from high-carbon steel and processed through a unique carburizing heat treatment that actually adds carbon to the metal, producing a harder cutting surface. Blades hold a razor-sharp edge that will endure prolonged use and more sharpening treatments.

Each Andis UltraEdge clipper blade is sharpened to exact quality standards and is hand-tested before it is shipped. Blades have a Rockwell Hardness rating of 65.
BLADE SIZES AND SUGGESTED USES:
00000 Blade - Leaves hair: 1/125", 0.2mm
Uses: Complete shaving of head and face. Used for bald fading and high and tight military looks.
0000 Blade - Leaves hair: 1/100", 0.3mm
Used for tight fading. The graduation blade gives very close cutting leaving hair 1/100″ (0.3mm) in length.
000 Blade - Leaves hair: 1/50", 0.5mm
Uses: Commonly used under guide (also called clip-on, snap-on, guard, attachment, universal) combs. Clipper over comb, very close fades, Tops of flattops, Removing lines from Size 0A blade.
0A Blade - Leaves hair: 3/64", 1.2mm
Uses: Cuts close. Clipper over comb. Close fades, Tops of flattops, removing bulk (all hair types), Removing lines from Size 1 blade.
1 Blade - Leaves hair: 3/32", 2.4mm
Uses: Clipper over comb, Medium fades, removing bulk (all hair types), Removing lines from Size 1A and Size 1.5 blades.
1 ½ Blade - Leaves hair: 5/32, 4.0mm
Uses: Cuts medium full. Clipper over comb, Soft cutting blade, Tapering sides and nape. Removing lines from Size 2 blade.
1A Blade - Leaves hair: 1/8", 3.2mm
Uses: Cuts medium length. Clipper over comb, Medium fades, removing bulk (textured hair), Removing lines from Size 1.5 blade.
2 Blade - Leaves hair: 1/4", 6.3mm
Uses: Cuts long, Free hand Blending sides and nape, Removing lines from Size 3.5 blade.
3 ½ Blade - Leaves hair: 3/8", 9.5mm
Uses: Cuts medium full. Cuts hair to longest length (when laid to scalp). Great for sides and nape of fades, flat tops, ivy leagues. Used free hand, no clipper over comb.
3 ¾FC Blade - Leaves hair: 1/2", 13mm
Uses: Cuts long. Free hand clips. Establishes length on sides and nape.
5/8HT Blade - blade is also known as a 5/8FC or 5/8F blade and leaves hair 5/8" or 16mm long

#3/4 HT Blade - leaves hair 3/4" (19mm) long!
(also referred to as 3/4FC, 3/4F, 3/4 Finish)
This blade is the LONGEST in the Barber & Beauty trade as well as the Animal Grooming industry, cuts smoother and moves through hair easier than a blade with an attachment comb. Uses: Cuts long. Free hand clips. Establishes length on sides and nape.
T-84 Wide clipper blade has a 3/32" (2.4mm) cut.
Also called a Flat Top Blade as they are wider than a regular blade and cover a larger area faster than regular blades.]
OUTLINER BLADE (Formerly called TRIMMER) is a Stainless-Steel blade and leaves hair 1/150" (0.1mm).
Used for outlining, extremely Close Cutting.
Skip Tooth Blades (also called Saw tooth blades)
Skip Tooth Blades are generally used instead of a finish cut blade when:
Hair is heavily matted, tangled or for very thick HAIR.. -The coarse or uneven teeth on a Skip Tooth will feed the hair into the cutting blade more effectively, which allows you to clip under mats.
A hair cut using a skip tooth blade is generally "finished" off with the same size finish blade to give coat a smooth, finished appearance...for example: if you cut hair with a 4 skip-tooth blade, finish off with a 4F blade
Be extra Careful when using as skip tooth blade as they cut closer to the skin.
Size 7 Skip Tooth Clipper Blade has a 1/8" / 3.2 mm blade cut.
Size 5 Skiptooth blade leaves 1/4" / 6.5mm
Size 4 Skip Tooth Blade has a 3/8" / 9.5 mm Blade Cut
3 ¾ Skip Tooth Blade has a 1/2"/13mm Blade Cut (Also called a 3 Skip Blade)
