Old 14K Gold / Diamond Ring / Band - FR/FRCO/HDS - Helzberg - Sz 10 - 8g

Approximate size:  10.  

Center diamond approx. 3.5 mm diam.

2 flanking diamonds approx. 3 mm diam.  

2 outside diamonds approx. 2.5 mm diam.  

Approx. 8 mm wide at top tapering to 4 mm wide at bottom.

Weight:  8 grams.

DESCRIPTION:

Vintage band ring.

By FRCO / HDS.  14K yellow gold with 5 recessed, prong set diamonds.  All original.  

Maker's marks:  stamped "14K FRCO"; "51"; "HDS".  

The "HDS" mark inside the elongated hexagon is the old trademark for Helzberg's Diamond Shops, Inc., expired 1993.

The "FRCO" mark I am finding generally associated with Fritz Rossier, but I do not know if this is correct.   Friedman Ring Co. (Chicago) may be another possibility. 

The "51" presumably indicates TCW (.51CT).

Mid 20th century I believe.  

CONDITION:

The setting exhibits typical handling- / use-related wear:  scattered scratches and rubs;  minor softening to the detail.  See photos.  Nothing significant or conspicuous.  

Otherwise this ring is in very good original condition with no damage and no significant wear.  No restorations / repairs / modifications.  

Used, not abused.  

No dings, dents, bends, breaks, splits.  No cracks, chips, flakes, bruises, scuffs.  No significant scratches or rubs.  No looseness.  No damage to the prongs.

Generally clean as found.  

Displays well.
