This lot of 8 announcements were printed during the 1950s-1960s at the Gehenna Press in North Hampton, Massachusetts. They include letterpress designs attributed to American artist Leonard Baskin. These announcements were commissioned by locals, some of whom worked closely with Baskin as collectors and patrons. Many of the women graduated from Massachusetts' prestigious women's colleges, including Wellesley and Smith College. These cards are perfect for local historians or typography enthusiasts.
