FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE....
From an estate liquidation on the island of Madeira in Portugal, found in an 19th century Maderian "Laga".
Laga`s are traditional wine cellars or outbuildings used to make and store wine, found in antiquity all over Portugal and Spain.
A small hand crafted wooden wine barrel spigot that has survived in overall good original condition.
No splits in the wood, no chips or loose threads.
It measures 6 1/2 inches in length, made in two separate parts.
A true example of Portuguese home wine making ingenuity.
I inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size.
