EX.  December 30, 1967 - Onondaga County War Memorial - Syracuse, NY.  Program and ticket stub from game between the 76ers and the Pistons.  From 1963 - 1969, Philadelphia played at least one regular season game each year on a neutral court in Syracuse, NY.  This is a lovely example from the December 30, 1967 match up between the 76ers and Detroit Pistons.  Hal Greer scored 27 points, complimenting Wilt Chamberlain’s double double (30/18), and the 76ers beat the Pistons 122 - 107.  Mayor Dave Bing led Detroit with 17 points / 10 assists.  Jalen Rose’s dad, Jimmy Walker, was a rookie that season for Detroit.
The portion of the stub retained by the attendee has little information on it; it has the venue name, and if you look closely at the tear line you can make out the top portion of the words “Sat Eve” which coincides with the game date.  For what it’s worth, I purchased the item from the attendee and I’m convinced of its legitimacy…I know that + a Nickel might buy you a soda…but hey!…nothing wrong with a soda!
