Item Description

An antique Tower & Lyon Chaplin's patent plane.  In overall fair to good condition with original cap, iron looks correct, but shows some oxidation.  Has a good front knob with some wear, rear tote looks solid with some mild wear and marking.  This one does have the patent dates on the side that is quite faint.  All marks are fairly light. Plane bed is smooth with some mild oxidation on the edge.  Measures about 15 inches long and 2-1/2 across.  I think it is close to a Stanley 5 size.
