Turi Gramstad Oliver
Born in Norway in 1938 she began her training as a ceramist at the Norwegian College of Applied Arts in Oslo in 1955-58
From 1958-1960 s Bergen College of Applied Arts. In 1960 she was employed by the earthen ware factory Figgjo Fajanse as a designer amongst her most famous pieces of tableware were the ranges, Daisy, Market, Lotte, Tor, Viking Clúpea. In 1980 she left Figgjo to focus on designs for fabric and wall paper. All of Turi’s ceramics, fabrics and wall papers are widely collected today, for me her whimsical designs remind me of my childhood
