Japan Vintage Fujigen manufactured ST72-115.
This is a highly appreciated ST72-115 manufactured by Fujigen in 1986-1987.
This is the top of the line model in the 72 model Strat at the time of sale.
This is a very good and high quality one with USA made pickups, white ash body, etc.
The serial and warranty certificate shows the model as 87, and the pot date is 86.
The list price at the time of sale was 115,000 yen, a high price for a Fender Japan.
In the late 1980s, the popularity of the "1972 model," which was a little over 10 years old, was not that high.
This may be one of the reasons why there were only a small number of '72 Fender Japan models purchased and sold in the market, and now there are very few of them in circulation.
Because it is Japan Vintage, E Serial, and a top-of-the-line model, it is an item that is likely to increase in value in the future, as it was sold for over 200,000 on the overseas auction site "ebay".

The body material is white ash, which is used only for the top-of-the-line models, and is clearly indicated in the catalog.
Ash from the relatively northern part of Japan tends to be heavy due to short sunshine hours, and the specific gravity of the wood tends to be heavy and packed.
The tip of the trunk, rather than the base, tends to be heavier because the conduits are narrower and the wood tends to be more compact, which is called white ash.
