Doll 47 H, created from Doll XII, is an 18 1/2" Kathe Kruse girl doll with the "Hampelchen" synthetic painted head (originally modeled by Igor von Jakimow), a hand knotted human hair wig, and a sturdy foam rubber body with tab jointed upper arms and movable legs that was manufactured in Germany in 1986.  She wears her worn "Original// Kathe Kruse// Stoffpuppe// Made in Germany" red and gold medallion hang tag on her left wrist.  Her left foot is stamped "Kathe Kruse" in black, and her right foot bears an illegible, very faint number.  I cannot decipher it.  Hampelchen wears a sage green and white long sleeved printed dress, a mint green coordinating pinafore detailed with darker green cord, a white half slip embellished with rickrack around its hemline, a knit cotton "teddy," white socks, and a pair of side-strapped red leather shoes.  Her socks sustain red transfer from her red shoes, and the bum area of her "teddy" and stocking are spotted.  Previously owned by an adult collector, Hampelchen remains in sturdy condition with minimal discoloration, dust, and soil from age and storage.  Her movable head may have further tanned with age, while the portions of her stockinet body exposed to light have gently faded.  Hampelchen is a most appealing child doll with her pouty expression, her dreamy blue eyes, and her center parted, blonde human hair wig styled in bangs and coiled braids embellished with green ribbons.  No bad odors--
