The leather (I think) covers wood and inside the box there are 2 packs of unopened playing cards, together with Bridge rules, a  pencil which needs sharpening and an unused scoring block.

The box is very decorative and is in such good condition so if you don't play Bridge, it could easily be used to store other items and the playing cards kept separately.  

The box measures approximately 20 cm x 11 cm x 6 cm
