【Description】
Droptokyo" started in 2007 as a web media to document Tokyo's youth culture. Since its inception, the magazine has energetically photographed and published street fashion based in Harajuku. This photobook is the culmination of 10 years of their work. From the days when even smartphones were not widely used to the present, when social networking services have become the dominant tool, Droptokyo has always been committed to quickly identifying and disseminating the "faces" that symbolize the "current" Tokyo street fashion. Club culture, hip-hop, mode gals, normcore, and ...... are all keywords that can be found in Droptokyo's snapshots. This is a book that reveals not only the past 10 years of Tokyo street fashion, which is now attracting worldwide attention, but also the modern history of Tokyo culture.
The book also includes interviews with 10 people who have a connection to street fashion, including Nana Komatsu and Mademoiselle Yulia, who grace the cover, as well as NAOTO (J Soul Brothers III) and photographer Chikashi Suzuki.
