The model for this Vollmer model can look back on an eventful past. A church is said to have stood on this hill on the western bank of the Neckar as early as 1235. This was followed in 1470 by a new building in the Gothic style, which was built in the middle of the 19th century. Century was replaced by a neo-Gothic church.
